This can be devastating to their self esteem and often leads to behaviour problems, including school refusal. The earlier a child receives targeted intervention to address their skill deficits, the better.

As a teacher with more than thirty years of experience working with young children and a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education, I bring a wealth of knowledge and specialised training to my role. I am an accredited Sounds Write tutor - a research based structured synthetic phonics program - and a registered tutor with the Dyslexia SPELD Foundation. I have also trained extensively in the field of Structured Word Inquiry, a pedagogical and theoretical approach that serves as the foundation for my tutoring approach.
As a parent of two young adults, I know what it is like to worry about your child's progress at school. That is why beyond working with your child, I also aim to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to support your child's continued learning.
